really good mood / bees / lemon arm life
Really Good Mood
Just drink from a green plastic cup if you wish
Coca Cola is innocent when you drink it
The bunny in the helicopter drinks from a green cup
It’s eating a pear and drinking Coca Cola
We’re all covered in something that feels like air
The bunny swallows some orange pills with coke
We always have meltdowns and crack-ups
Even though the air is here in the room
The day trembles and shakes the dice
Big dark birds chatter all along the wires
Maybe we are all secretly dreaming
Of having brand new faces after all?
Bees
We got stuck
But really, the truth is
We never moved away
We’re still here
Drunk, up in the trees
Among the ripe apples
As we are
Among green leaves
Smiles slip from our faces
We look down
At two grizzly bears
Sprayed with pink neon paint
And a woodpecker
Watching the bad evening news
In their cheap grey suits
Lemon arm life
Sometimes you realise that you can hide in the sky
Big gooey hips squash a sleepy cartoon mind
Then greenish ghosts float up through the floor
And get free, out in the light, in the wind
While a surfer in a papier mache frog’s head
Tries to climb inside the sky, to figure it all out
A dog shuffles along a shining wet street
You climb in to your bed, they say it’ll all happen
And so forth and so on
